Katherine Magee is the principal of The Magee Resource Group Inc., a company founded in 2006. Katherine’s expertise is in strategic planning, marketing & communications and brand development. The Magee Resource Group Inc. helps organizations achieve real success in translating their business objectives into tangible realities. Current clients include Russell Investments Canada, Bag To Earth, The Toronto CFA Society and Cognition LLP. Past clients include Sunnybrook Foundation, J Cloth, The Marquee Group, R2 Financial Technologies, DGA Media and Waste Management.

Prior to launching The Magee Resource Group Inc. Katherine was Vice-President, Marketing at Franklin Templeton Investments where she was responsible for a 50-person national marketing department, including developing marketing strategies for multiple lines of business, five sub-brands and one master brand; developing and implementing strategies for corporate branding; and leading multi-departmental working groups for new product and program development. Before joining Franklin Templeton Investments in 2000 after obtaining her MBA at Rotman School of Management, she was the Director of Corporate Affairs for Koala Beverages Limited, a publicly-held beverage and snack food distribution company in Vancouver. There she was responsible for investor relations, corporate communications and human relations.

Having worked extensively in both the Vancouver and Toronto business communities, Katherine has also lived and travelled through Africa, Europe, Asia and Central America. When she’s not running after her puppy, Katherine is busy teaching herself guitar, planning her next travel adventure and figuring out what gourmet meal she can next inflict on unsuspecting dinner guests.
